The 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) takes place from November 11 to 22, 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Prime Minister Judith Suminwa is leading a strong delegation from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Her mission: to defend the DRC more than ever
more than ever as a climate change
climate change. Also, to defend the country’s interests for a fair compensation of its role as a green giant.
Indeed, this major event will address crucial issues such as the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, the energy transition, and the financing of the fight against global warming.
With its vital role in preserving the world’s ecosystems, thanks in particular to its tropical forests and strategic mineral resources, the Democratic Republic of the Congo intends to defend its interests and advocate fair remuneration for its efforts to protect nature.
