Target SARL, a research firm specializing in polling, is launching a survey on private sector perceptions of the situation in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The aim of the survey is to ascertain the perceptions of both national and foreign economic operators on the impact of the security situation in the East on their companies’ activities, their expectations and the outlook for the national economy.

For several years now (30 years already), the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo has been experiencing a series of security crises. These crises have had a number of consequences, such as humanitarian crises, loss of human life, massive displacement of populations from one region to another, as well as economic impact and many others.

In January 2025, this security crisis took another turn for the worse, with the occupation of the town of Goma and demonstrations in Kinshasa causing damage to embassies and businesses.

With this survey, Target invites interested parties to complete the questionnaire via this link: https://bit.ly/416wRId
This link gives access to the survey questionnaire, which is strictly anonymous.

The contribution of each respondent as an economic player in the Democratic Republic of Congo is invaluable in understanding the private sector’s perception of the situation in the east of the country.
