DRC: Augustin Kibassa to the PT-NTIC to initiate the digital transition

Augustin Kibassa Maliba officially took office as Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Communication Post (PT-NTIC) on Monday, September 9, 2019. Objective: to work notably for the implementation of the National Digital Plan recently validated by stakeholders at the initiative of the Head of State.
Indeed, the new boss of PT-NTIC already has a clear vision and a plan for materialization of the latter with clearly defined objectives. Their content has been integrated into the Government’s agenda by the Prime Minister with a view to achieving the results expected by 2025.
Clearly, this issue has been at the center of the handover and resumption interview between the outgoing minister, Emery Okundji Ndovu, and the incoming minister, Augustin Kibassa Maliba.
Four pillars structure the sectoral action of the Government as part of the digital transition. These are respectively Infrastructure, Content, Application Uses and Governance.
Augustin Kibassa, whose mandate is to prioritize the best interests of the nation in order to meet the challenges of his sector, the PT-NTIC, is particularly committed to working to connect all the provinces through the connectivity of the optical fiber.
Some people do not doubt the capacity and the statesmanship of discipline and rigor incarnated by Augustin Kibassa Maliba. He has a wealth of professional and political experience behind him. Discreet, hard-working and a perfectionist, this 48-year-old countryman, married with two children, is taking the measure of his duties.
