EDITO] – The days go by. The ordinary session of March is nearing its end. The head of state, Felix Antoine Tshisekedi has only 26 days to appoint the prime minister, form the government and get their investiture before the National Assembly. This, before the close of the parliamentary session on June 15, 2019. Unless we consider an extraordinary session, the new executive is constrained by the time and the means.
Indeed, if the trainer of the coalition government were appointed on Monday, May 20, 2019, this appointment will serve as a trigger for the entire process of setting up the government resulting from the parliamentary majority.
According to concordant sources within the Common Front for the Congo (FCC) -Cap to Change (CACH) coalition, ministerial portfolio allocation quotas are already being discussed and nominations will be submitted to the government trainer by the coordinators of the aforementioned political platforms, under the arbitration of the Head of State, with a view to their appointments.
Much more, the same sources say, the coalition government’s agenda is being developed in Kisantu, Kongo Central by the FCC and CACH delegates.
It should be noted that everything is being prepared for the Prime Minister, once appointed, to endorse the work done upstream by his large political family.
With the resignation of Bruno Tshibala from the Primature and the appointment of the new Prime Minister, in the coming hours, it is not excluded that the government is formed and appointed by the end of the month.
