In the run-up to the Senate’s final Senate election, Senator Guy Loando Mboyo has submitted his candidacy for the Senate Questure. Having served for more than ten years in senior positions in both local and international companies, he has a favorable profile for this position which requires rigor, dynamism and expertise.
Law graduate of the University of Kinshasa, business lawyer and agents in Mines and quarries of his state, Guy Loando was elected Senator in 2019 for the province of Tshuapa. He is one of 21 elected senators from Grand Equateur, including 20 elected in the provinces and 1 in Kinshasa.
The ambition of the Senate Questure
The career of this elected official in the legal universe and the administration of companies in the DRC has equipped with assets required to assume competently the obligations related to the questure. Indeed, before his election to the Senate, this career lawyer founded the GLM & Associates business firm, which intervenes in particular in the field of mines and quarries.
Beyond his practice of law, Loando is a fan of business administration. He manages a group of companies specializing in services, real estate, mining, finance, hotels and restaurants. He sits on the board of directors of both local and international companies. And he is an expert consultant in several companies.
The elected representative of Tshuapa is not only a man by right, he is also a Congolese loving humanism. Aware of the social challenges in his country, the lawyer has been given the mission to respond by investing in the well-being of the community.
In 2018, he will create the Widal Foundation, a humanitarian organization of which he is president and which aims to assist the most vulnerable members of Congolese society in general, and his province of origin in particular.
This structure aims to reduce unemployment through entrepreneurship training provided to young Congolese. It also proposes to promote qualitative values in the social, cultural and educational fields. To this end, WIDAL works to develop new initiatives by promoting productive contacts and exchanges of information with various partners working in the public and private sectors, both nationally and internationally.

Raised in the Catholic faith by teacher parents, Mr. Guy Loando was, from his childhood, wrought with the values of discipline, work, honesty and altruism. Mr. Loando also embodies today the renewal of the Congolese political class intervened during the last elections. Originally from the Tshuapa province, Guy Loando Mboyo is married and has a family.
As a reminder, the role of the Senate Quaestor is to assist the President of this institution in the development and execution of the Senate budget. In this capacity, he is the delegated authorizing officer and is entrusted with the daily administrative and financial management of the Chamber and supervises, under the direction of the President of the Senate, all the services related thereto. He reports to the Bureau monthly.
