DRC: INPP works for human capital formation

The General Director of the National Institute of Professional Preparation (INPP), Maurice Tshikuya, has called for the involvement of all, including the private sector, in the training and capacity building of Congolese youth in order to better productivity in all sectors of economic life.
The Makutano International Economic Forum held in Congo by Blazon Hotels in Kinshasa enabled stakeholders in the HR sector to address the theme of « Competitiveness and Training: State of Emergency and the Role of the Private Sector » . Maurice Tshikuya was one of the speakers.
« INPP can not work in camera. We need technical skills that can help us meet the needs of society. We need to have the skills to produce locally, creating the chain of production and consumption of goods and services, « he said.
Given the reality that the Congolese education system is not in line with the major economic and human challenges of the country as well as the lack of skilled labor in several sectors, the INPP intends to give the best of itself for the implementation of the vision of the Head of State.
Therefore, Maurice Tshikuya recommends the revision of the basic education program, the work in interaction with the universities and the training centers, the curricula development taking into account the environment and the specificities of each province, the enhancement of trainers, and the establishment of basic infrastructure to provide quality training.
As a reminder, the Head of State, in his opening speech to the Makutano, said that his vision for Congo has always been to put the man at the center of the Government’s action and to promote the human capital a great national cause.
