DRC: Likabo Foundation launches a call for funds to complete the health center under construction!

The Likabo Foundation (Don, in French) has just launched a call for funds to finalize the construction of a health center and a maternity hospital in the Binza Ozone district in Kinshasa. Work has been launched, on own funds, since a few months on own funds. Objective: to improve the medical care of the inhabitants of this part of the capital.
In fact, it is to offer quality health care to a large number of children and seniors at a reduced rate that the Likabo Foundation has decided to build its first health and maternity center.
For this, it launched on June 7 a fundraising campaign during a Gala. Faced with significant needs, the campaign continues to mobilize financial resources, building materials, equipment and medical equipment.
It is a three-storey building that is under construction in the Manenga district (commonly called Gulf) in Ngaliema commune. This medical training will have to provide the services of the generalized consultations; specialized consultations including gynecology and obstetrics; surgery ; deliveries; internal medicine; and pediatrics.
The appeal is therefore sent to men and women of goodwill, international NGOs, humanitarian, embassies, national and international economic operators, all those who can contribute in goods or natures to complete this work.
Any contribution can be deposited to the TMB Bank: LIKABO Foundation 1201-5062170-00-90 or call us on 0847000036.
Likabo Foundation, created in June 2018, has two main missions: awareness and medical care of children and senior citizens.
In its sensitization component, Likabo prevents dirty diseases and respiratory diseases faced by several families living in peripheral areas.
It organizes field trips, animation sessions, debates to raise awareness on hygiene, food security and sanitation. This, with the aim of contributing somehow to reducing the number of deaths caused by these diseases.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 1.8 million people, 90% of whom are children under five, mostly living in developing countries, die each year from diarrheal diseases (including cholera).
In the care component, the Foundation gives sustained attention to medical assistance and care for disadvantaged people.
With its own funds, it was able to cover the medical expenses of nearly 2,000 people, children and senior citizens.
