DRC: National Assembly, Herman De Croo received by Jeanine Mabunda

The President of the National Assembly, Jeanine Mabunda Lioko has granted a hearing, Monday, July 29, 2019 to his office, the Belgian Minister of State and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Herman De Croo, working stay in the DRC. The two personalities exchanged on several topics on the economic, political, and positive collaboration between the two countries.
On the economic front, the Belgian minister believes that the DRC is more than its mines. It challenges the authorities of the country to focus on the power of agriculture, forestry, hydraulics and all that is renewed.
« Every year, a shovel of minerals that comes out of Congolese territory is a shovel lost forever, unlike a field that is cultivated today and could be grown again again next year, » he said. -he indicates.

Herman De Croo and Jeanine Mabunda agree on the need for the elected representatives of the people to remain close to the population. A question that already finds its answer in the vision defined by the current speaker of the National Assembly, namely: stay close to the population and work for the interest of the nation.
Herman De Croo, who spent nearly 51 years in the Belgian Parliament, did not hide from appreciating the personality of the president of the lower house of the Congolese Parliament.
« He is an important personality. It is a great pleasure to discover the first woman President of the Assembly of a great country, who will have to manage 500 colleagues. Which is not easy in this country. I think she has very clear views on what can be done and what is in balance, « De Croo told reporters.
