DRC: Opening of the first issue of the Congo Challenge Scientific Review

The first issue of the Congo Challenge Review was focused on baptismal font. It was during a ceremony held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the University of Kinshasa. According to its publisher, Congo Challenge Science, the ambition for this instrument is to become the leading scientific and professional journal in economics in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Indeed, the Congo Challenge Review (RCC) will be published in two volumes each year. Every four months, it will publish newsletters on recent developments in economic research and on the state of the economy in the DRC in particular and in the world at large.
Therefore, interested researchers are invited to submit their manuscripts in all areas of the economy. And to ensure rapid processing the Revue Congo Challenge sends bidders to follow the instructions in its editorial line: http://rcc.cd.
« Submitting a draft article to the CCR assumes that it is original, unpublished content and is not submitted for publication elsewhere. All draft articles must be submitted to the following e-mail addresses: redaction@rcc.cd. After submitting the manuscript, the authors will receive an e-mail from the editor giving them a number. Part of the manuscripts are returned directly to the corresponding author after a brief review by the publisher. Authors are strongly encouraged to implement the CCR manuscript style requirements as soon as they receive a review request. After a decision letter (accept with minor revisions), the RCC style of writing must be applied », says an official statement.
Under the moderation of Professor Jean-Paul K. Tsasa, the rector of the University of Kinshasa, Professor Nzuzi ya Ngoma, delivered his welcome to this initiative, which promotes scientific research in the DRC.
Along the same lines, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Professor Kamiantako, emphasized the importance of research for the development of a country like the DRC.
For its part, the initiator of the Think Tank Congo Challenge, Professor Matata Ponyo, returned to the presentation of this initiative, which, according to a regular frequency, organizes three types of activities under the Congo Challenge SCIENCE label.
These are the Congo Challenge Science Forum (once a year), the Conference (semester) and the Congress (annual.)

He spoke of the Best Paper Award, the Promotion of Excellence and Research Prize (for a young person under 25), the award for the best young Congolese economist (under 35) and the price of best Congolese economist.
As part of its skills networking activities, Congo Challenge is also working to set up a database of Congolese researchers in economics.
