Initially planned for July 08, 2019, the new English language course at the CALI center has not started until July 24, 2019. In the meantime, students are worried about the delay, even though they have already paid the participation fee of USD 245 per level.
On the Congo American Language Instutite website (www.cd.usembassy.gov), you can read:

All classes will now be held at the American Corner of the Protestant University in Congo and at the Muhammad Ali American Corner at the Kinshasa Urban Library in Limete. When asked, the US Embassy in Congo via an official statement was reassuring about the current situation at CALI.
« The US Embassy places great value on the Congo American Language Institute (CALI) and is proud to have helped tens of thousands of Congolese enrich their personal and professional lives by learning English. English creates opportunities. We want to resume CALI’s English Language Program as soon as possible, « she says.

As a reminder, CALI is an English language program of the Public Affairs Section of the US Embassy in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Since 1962, CALI offers quality English education to government officials, students preparing for study abroad, and other professionals from different sectors in the city of Kinshasa.
CALI offers a six-level English curriculum: from beginner classes to advanced classes. Students receive a certificate of completion after completing 6 levels.
Four intensive course sessions are organized each year. These intensive courses are held five times a week, 10 hours a week for a total of 100 hours. Each intensive course session costs 245 USD. This price includes 2 books and a CD.
