« Generalizing broadband access for citizens, households, businesses and public services » was one of the topics discussed during the work of the validation workshop of the National Digital Plan taking place at Pullman Hotel Kinshasa.

The representatives of the various companies operating in the infrastructures exchanged under the direction of the panelists the six projects called « Priority Action. » Objective: to enrich these projects contained in the draft zero.

These are respectively:

Project 0: this is the design of a global plan for the development of offenders, broadband support for digital.

Project 1: The DRC connection has at least four international submarine cables and at least five cross-border links:

– Mwanda (WACS / ACE / FB / google)
– Angola (dilolo, noqui)
– Congo-Brazzaville (cable under the river
– Rwanda (Goma- Gisenyi)
– Zambia (Kasumbalesa / Sakania – Solwzi, with a new point of attraction where applicable).

Project 2: Completion of the remaining segments of the broad fiber-optic national backbone with redundant interconnects.

Project 3: The contruiction of urban fiber optic rings and access networks in the 26 provincial capitals, terminated by FFT, GSM, BLR, VSAT networks.

Project 4: rural project development with intermediate performance technology with global satellite; connected data edge-backbones beam.

Project 5: The construction of a terrestrial satellite infrastructure with national coverage.

Project 6: adaptation of the training sector for the profile related to digital infrastructures.

The facilitators also presented to the participants of the panel, a summary of the infrastructure pillar in its main lines including:

– Broadband connectivity,
– International interconnection,
– The data center
– Satellite infrastructure,
– The exchange points,
– Resource Management, IP
– Frequency resource management.
