DRC: The Seven Challenges of the FCC-CACH Coalition Government
[EDITO] – As soon as it is invested, the FCC-CACH coalition government should tackle the major development challenges that constitute the main orientations of the vision of the head of state, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo. Hence, the need to have « patriotic vertebrates » within the Ilunkamba government team.
In fact, the action of this government that is not entitled to error must be based on the tangible political, economic and financial gains to accelerate inclusive and sustainable economic growth, which will create wealth and jobs massive.
In the lot of these challenges, seven main are part of the guidelines of the President of the Republic. These include:
– improving and strengthening governance in all sectors through the fight against corruption;
– the development of the agricultural sector;
– diversification and transformation of the economy;
– the development and modernization of basic infrastructure in the transport and communications sector;
– promoting social development through the rehabilitation of hospitals and schools;
– the improvement of drinking water and electricity services, through integrative projects, including INGA 3;
– the enhancement of human resources by creating jobs for women and young people.
Meeting these challenges and carrying out related projects requires enormous efforts by the national executive to continue maintaining macroeconomic stability in a context of renewed economic growth.
According to experts, this would in particular force the future Ilunkamba government to rigorously manage public finances, implement courageous reforms aimed at increasing the mobilization of the state’s internal revenues and improving the business climate to attract investors.
Above all, transparency and effectiveness in results-based management, positive or negative sanctions against government members, and ongoing accountability for government action should be paramount.
Faced with an increasingly demanding people, comment analysts, anyone who would not be able to translate into action the vision of the Head of State by giving expected results from him in a timely manner, should be dismissed for impairment . Hence, the need for the charter of good conduct and the good governance pact to be signed by all members of the government.
If the two political leaders of the Political Coalition, Felix Antoine Tshisekedi and Joseph Kabila, really want to put this country back on the path of development, they are strongly advised to bless this scheme. They are four years and six months old to report to the Congolese people.
