Ingenious City organized for the second time this Wednesday, September 18, 2019 the Seedstars/Kinshasa competition which is already in its third edition in the world. Out of 70 participating startups, 11 were selected and only one winner for the DRC.

The latter will have to compete with the winners from other countries in Switzerland. She will also have the opportunity to meet other start-up companies from around the world, benefit from first-rate mentoring and meet international investors.

For the 2019 edition, startup YETU PIC took first place; second place by AGRIBOS and third by CONGO BD.

It was the young Baraka Rumamba who won with his starup YETU PIC, whose mission is to help Congolese in the diaspora build homes here at home without being swindled by their family members. Family members are replaced by banks and YETU is the one who supervises the work.

This startup has been in existence since 2010. It has a very high turnover and many customers, including large companies based in the country. This is what motivated the members of the jury to choose this startup.

Seedstars is a Swiss-based group whose mission is to impact people’s lives in emerging markets through technology.

For the past three years, he has organized the world’s largest competition for young emerging companies.

Ingenious City is a space dedicated to business incubation, co-working and the organization of events that promote entrepreneurship.

Always in the interest of helping young entrepreneurs, he has set up « Business Angel », a club of seven people who are willing to take risks and who have agreed to contribute their capital to promising projects.

Business Angel provides them with advice. It provides them with a network of contacts for these startups and finances.
