DRC: Biamba Marie Mutombo hospital with a hi-tech scanner from all over central Africa!
The Biamba Marie Mutombo hospital has been equipped with a modern and sophisticated Siemens scanner. This hi-tech equipment is the first to be installed in Central Africa. The initiator of this medical training, Mutombo Dikembe, preceded the inauguration of this material that will allow doctors to treat several diseases including that of the heart. The ceremony took place on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, in the hospital located in the town of Masina in Kinshasa.
In his address, the former NBA basketball player, head of the Mutombo Dikembe Foundation, did not miss the praise of the Michael Blomberg Foundation, for this wonderful gift he made to the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo as well as ‘to the company Siemens, supplier of this equipment.

According to Dr. Lelo, imaging specialist in this hospital, it is a high-end scanner of 64 bars that will do all exams including those of the simple heart and vessels of the heart, neck, pelvis, thorax.
More than half a million US dollars were spent on the acquisition of this important material for the diagnosis of various diseases, which formerly required evacuation abroad.
