The caravan of National Service benches manufactured by ex-Kulunas has arrived in Mbuji-Mayi in the province of Kasaï Oriental.
On Monday March 3, 2025, Ep1 and 2 Maréchal Mobutu as well as Ep1 and 2 24 Novembre received the benches to improve learning conditions for pupils.
For the district, the Commander of the National Service, Lieutenant-General Jean-Pierre Kasongo Kabwik, handed over 300 benches to each of these two schools in the diamond town.
“A journey of 1,000 km begins with a first step. We started in Kinshasa… 2 or 3 years ago, in this city, there were schools built by the National Service, equipped with benches, tables and blackboards”, he declared.
Putting into practice the instruction of the Congolese Head of State, Service National is aware of the delicacy of the mission.
“The challenge before us shows the scale, courage and determination we must have to succeed in putting our children in the best possible learning conditions,” emphasized Lieutenant-General Jean-Pierre Kasongo Kabwik.
According to the National Service program, several other schools and universities in the city of Mbuji-Mayi will benefit from the same gesture.
