DRC: football, Galatasaray pays eight million euros to keep Christian Luyindama!
Congolese international Christian Luyindama has finally signed his three-year contract with Turkey’s legendary club Galatasaray. As a result, he is definitely leaving the Liège standard. The Turkish club officially announced it last Monday. He spent a total of eight million euros to keep the talent of the Congolese international.
Christian Luyindama played in this club since January from Belgium as a loan with an option to buy. In view of these benefits, the club decided to trust him until 2022.
Transferred to the Standard of Liege by the Almighty Mazembe of the DRC in January 2017 for the modest sum of 150 000 euros with option of purchase, this Congolese athlete ended up getting his contract in this team for 500 000 euros in May of the same year.
Arrived in Galatasaray under a loan with an option to purchase, the paid loan was worth 3 million euros and the contract signed added 5 million euros.
In the breakdown, Standard de Liège is entitled to 4.8 million euros out of 8 million euros. TP Mazembe should, in turn, receive 40%, or 3.2 million euros included in the transfer contract, the resale of the player. A good deal so for the team dear to Moise Katumbi.
Christian Luyindama Nekadio was born in Kinshasa on January 8, 1994. He is a central defender, and sometimes used as a defensive midfielder. Former player of the DCMP and Sanga Balende he leaves in 2015 to join the TP Mazembe before flying for his epic European.
In Belgium, he has made remarkable performances by assuring the back of the Standard de Liège but also in the national team where he has been selected since 2016. He participated in the last African Cup of Nations with the Leopards of the DRC.
