The BAJE group initiated by Jean Bamanisa Saidi has officially launched its new product called « Premix Yamakasi » on the construction market in DR Congo. It is a premix of cement, pebble and sand in a single 50 kilogram bag. The ceremony took place on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 in Kinshasa.
This product, which emerged after several years of in-depth studies, is a real revolution in the Congolese construction sector, particularly in the manufacture of concrete and mortars.
For ease of use, all these aggregates together in a single bag give users the opportunity to have a clear idea on the quantity of bags to buy for the construction of mortars or concrete to avoid unnecessary waste often observed in the different construction sites.
By launching this product, the BAJE group aims to reach a threshold of 5% of consumption in Kinshasa, selected as the pilot city of this project.
« The purchasing power is very low in Kinshasa. But our studies have shown that there is a minority of Kinshasa with a monthly income of between USD 3,600 and USD 6,000. It is this range of kinois that we aim, « said Stéphane, one of the organizers of the evening.
Jean Bamanisa, the promoter of this product made in Congo, has a purely social motivation. For, according to his associates, by reducing the cost of construction, the population will have the opportunity to save money by accessing a cheap product.
« The professionalization of masonry work and the promotion of local entrepreneurship are among the objectives pursued by this project that starts in Kinshasa, a pilot city, » reassured Stéphane.
