DRC: Sama Lukonde Kyenge appointed General Manager of Gecamines

The General Careers and Mines (Gécamines) has a new Director General. Sama Lukonde Kyenge has been appointed, this Monday, June 3, 2019, by Presidential Order. This young Congolese with proven track record at the National Ministry of Youth, Sport and Recreation, will have as Deputy Ntambwe Ngoyi Kabongo Phillipe.

The two thus replace Amed Kalej Nkand, who was dismissed as director general and his deputy, Jacques Kamenga, who assumed the position of the incumbent.

This order confirms and/or renews certain proxies such as Albert Yuma Mulimbi, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Guy Robert Lukama, director.

At this moment of the political alternation bringing hope of change leading to the revival of the country’s economy, this new implementation should have only one objective: to support and accelerate the reforms initiated in recent years by the outgoing team.
