DR Congo is the second African country to benefit from the « Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria » with nearly US$2 billion invested since 2002. The United States of America and France are the main bilateral donors within the international community, which is mobilizing more to finance the fight against these three diseases for the period 2021-2023.
To welcome this mobilization, the Global Fund’s National Coordinating Mechanism in DR Congo (CCM-DRC) organized a press conference on the occasion of the sixth replenishment conference of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, held in Lyon, France.
In a joint statement with his French counterpart in Kinshasa, US Ambassador Mike Hammer justified the choice of the DRC.

Health is a priority of the renewed partnership that the Democratic Republic of Congo and France wish to implement. »
