Félix Kabange: "An FCC activist must not share his state of mind ..."

[TRIBUNE] – Félix Kabange Numbi recalls that a militant of the Common Front for Congo (FCC) should not share his moods. However, it must serve the Congolese and display its record of service. This member of the Strategic Committee of the majority platform in Parliament gave his point of view, in this forum, in light of the news that is making headlines in his political family, including the attitude displayed by Modeste Bahati Lukwebo. Below, the entirety:

The year 2018 has transformed Congolese politics irreversibly. Previously the political scene was marked by a myriad of political parties. 2018 saw the birth of three forces that now punctuate the political game. For months, the opposition of the time fought the folding seats and the leadership of a group until its break-up into two forces that have clashed since then; Lamuka and CACH.

The Presidential Majority (MP), meanwhile, was quickly put in battle order within the FCC, training whose foundations were laid during the retreat of Kingakati in April 2018. This meeting convened by Raïs Joseph Kabila KABANGE, brought together the members of the government and defined the essence of what would become the FCC. « We need to bring together as many political and social actors as possible to win the December elections and especially to preserve peace and security, » said Joseph Kabila Kabange.

The sequel is now part of history. A strategic committee of 13 people was set up to reflect on the structure and prepare the charter. At the conclusive retirement of Kingakati in June 2018, Joseph KABILA KABANGE announced the birth of the Common Front for Congo, FCC in acronym, a major unprecedented political platform in the DRC.

The objectives of this coalition were clear: to support a common candidate in the presidential election, to win elections at all levels and to govern collectively to improve the well-being of Congolese. For this, the FCC’s political commitment has, from the outset, been based on the values of discipline, loyalty and solidarity,

In this context, how can Modeste BAHATI LUKWEBO proclaim himself a candidate for the presidency of the Senate and face the choice of the FCC? How can Modeste BAHATI LUKWEBO deny the message of loyalty and loyalty that he himself brought to Joseph KABILA KABANGE, the moral authority of the FCC?

In the face of such an outrageous situation where an FCC member dissenting from his own political family, I, as a member of the FCC’s strategic committee, have to recall on one hand the fundamental principles that shape the FCC’s action. and on the other hand, remember the spirit that should guide anyone who joins the FCC.

Like any coalition, the FCC takes into account the weight of the political parties that make it up. Unlike other coalitions, the weight of political formations is not the only factor that determines the choice of people who wear the colors of the FCC to different positions of responsibility.

Other determining factors are the principle of solidarity and the individual ability to enable the FCC to achieve its collective goals. Through solidarity, the FCC ensures fair representation to all the streams of thought that form the FCC regardless of their size on the political spectrum. This principle is crucial if we want to build an inclusive nation in which every citizen will be convinced that not only is their voice heard, but that voice is taken into account.

By individual ability, it is about identifying and promoting servant leadership. An FCC leader should not be the one who wants to draw light to him but the one who carries the torch high to keep the flame on to illuminate others.

And, to notice such quality among the militants, who better than the moral authority. Having the experience and the strategic vision, he is able to choose the right person in the right place. Our role as an activist is to act with loyalty and a sense of duty. After the designation of the FCC candidate, it is no longer the time to think about one’s personal destiny.

Anyone with this attitude disqualifies himself de facto, proving that he does not have the greatness to serve as he wishes to satisfy desires for personal glory. They are numerous and they are known those political leaders who during the electoral campaign did not support Emmanuel SHADARY purely by personal calculation. This will not happen again !

If the FCC is to get rid of all the mercenaries and continue its political struggle with the faithful and loyal who are often forgotten, so be it!

If we are to lose activists en route, we will lose them to keep our values and principles intact. Under no circumstances will we change the nature of the FCC to satisfy the insatiable appetite of a few.

The defeat of our candidate in the presidential election will not plunge us into immobility. On the contrary. We have the majority and we will prove it in all the critical and important moments during this legislature.

It begins today with the mobilization of all FCC Senators, including the many AFDC-A Senators who remain loyal and loyal to our founding principles. That they have no hesitation, their place is at the FCC. For those who, with sincerity and sense of duty, want to get back into battle order that they know they will always be welcome.

I call for full mobilization within our political family to secure a landslide victory for Alexis THAMBWE MWAMBA and his entire office in the FCC-CACH coalition in the Senate.

It’s time to have a firm and fast hand in the action. For that, Honorable Senators, you have all my confidence.

It is in discipline and service that we will renew trust with the Congolese and improve the living conditions of our compatriots. That’s what they expect from us, that’s what duty is commanding!

Félix KABANGE NUMBI,

Member of the FCC Strategic Committee.
