An exceptional ceremony was held in Rennes, France, marking a historic milestone for education in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Thanks to the Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi Foundation.

The program is the fruit of an innovative partnership between the Fondation Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi (FDNT) and Groupe The Land, with the aim of promoting academic excellence and preparing a Congolese elite capable of meeting the country’s development challenges.

Congolese First Lady Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi’s unwavering commitment to education and her driving force behind the creation of this scholarship program were praised on several occasions during the event.

Guest of honor at the ceremony, Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi recalled that these 26 recipients represent not only individual success, but also a symbol of the inclusiveness and diversity of Congolese youth, united around the common denominator of academic excellence.

At the end of the ceremony, the grantees expressed their gratitude to First Lady Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi and all those involved in their journey. Some shared their plans for the future, ranging from setting up agri-businesses to reduce imports into the Democratic Republic of Congo, to coordinating humanitarian and local development projects.

The future looks bright for these young graduates, bearing a message of hope and renewed commitment to contribute to the development of their country.

The Excellentia program was launched by FDNT in 2020. Its ambition is to offer academic opportunities to talented young Congolese, enabling them to study both nationally and internationally.

For this first class of AIME, named Promotion Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi, the scholarship holders followed a unique hybrid path: two years of training in Kinshasa with online courses taught by French and Congolese teachers, followed by a third year on the 3A school campus in Rennes.

These scholarship-holders now have a double diploma, recognized in both the Democratic Republic of Congo and Europe, opening the way to careers in strategic sectors such as sustainable development, project management and social entrepreneurship.

This success illustrates the impact of international cooperation focused on human development.

Thanks to the alliance between FDNT and The Land Group, AIME is positioned as a model of academic excellence and educational innovation in Africa.
