Kasaï Oriental: draft budget 2025 up 200% to CDF 1,233 billion
On Sunday November 24, 2024, the Provincial Assembly of Kasai Oriental received the draft budget edict for the 2025 financial year, valued at 1,233 billion Congolese francs.
The draft budget edict was submitted by the Vice-Governor and Acting Governor of Kasai Oriental, Augustin Kayemba Mulemena.
The draft budget represents a 200% increase on the current year’s budget of 364 billion Congolese francs.
The significant increase in the budget reflects a firm commitment to investing in projects likely to transform the lives of local residents and strengthen local infrastructures.
According to the Provincial Executive, this budget takes into account the major concerns of the population of Kasaï Oriental.
The draft budget has been sent to the Ecofin commission of the Kasai Orientation plenary assembly for detailed examination.
