Minister of Land Affairs Molendo Sakombi is determined to put this sector back in order, where despoilment, superimposition of real estate titles and other blatant abuses have taken place. This is to the detriment of Congolese citizens, investors, foreign partners and even the State.

« I solemnly announce to you that, under my mandate, there will no longer be any by-laws relating to Property without Masters. I will promptly take protective measures to protect these assets and, if necessary, will not hesitate to repeal certain unjust decrees that have deliberately and deeply harmed peaceful citizens, compatriots or foreigners, » promised the new manager of the Congolese land.

In this dynamic, Minister Molendo Sakombi intends to ensure that the Secretary General of the Ministry, the backbone of the Land Affairs Administration, succeeds in countering, through regular audits, any creeping scheme set up in management mode, thus casting a veil of stigma and discredit on the entire Congolese land sector.

Moreover, he invited the Custodians of Real Estate Securities, as well as all the managers and agents of his department, to join in the momentum of the Renewal.

« The sanctions will not only be negative. Positive sanctions will be provided for deserving agents. For those who are resistant to change, I urge them to abandon bad practices, because I will be ruthless towards recalcitrant people, » he warned.

In line with the Head of State’s vision for Congolese land, reflected in the Prime Minister’s Government’s programme, Molendo Sakombi sets the stage for his firm commitment to exemplary governance based on talented people, equitable measures and above all unfailing determination.

He made this known from the very first moment he took office at the Ministry of Lands Affairs.
