Tshisekedi to the governors of the provinces: «the time of impunity so much decried is over»

The head of state, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, reminded the governors and vice-governors of the provinces of the DRC that the time of impunity so much criticized was indeed over. Placed in front of their responsibilities, these chiefs of the provincial executives were invited to serve before all the people.
«I would like a program contract to be concluded between you and the national executive, which would allow me to evaluate the performance of each of you, with a view to giving me the opportunity to sanction your governance after each quarterly evaluation», said the head of state at the opening, Monday, May 13, 2019, the seminar organized for the governors of the provinces elected.
One vision, four axes and 20 pillars
Félix Tshisekedi first unveiled the main articulations of his vision on the integral development of the DRC which is based in particular on the four strategic axes aimed at improving the living conditions of the population.
Man, economic growth, good governance and the socially inclusive society are the four strategic axes that constitute the foundation on which the national executive intends to base its priorities grouped in 20 pillars.
In the lot, there is in particular the diversification of the national economy and the development of trade, industry as well as SME / SMI; improving the business climate and promoting entrepreneurship; the revitalization of the mining and hydrocarbons sector by making them attractive and efficient; and the fight against corruption and economic crime.
«You can understand here that the task ahead is heavy and the challenges are huge. I will ensure, within the framework of the retrocession that the means consequent you are allocated to overcome the challenge of the development», promised Felix Antoine Tshisekedi.
Towards the promised change
As worthy representatives of the President of the Republic in their respective provinces, the governors of the provinces are obliged to adopt exemplary behavior in the management of their entities. And to develop programs to be adopted by the Provincial Assemblies by integrating its vision.
To Felix Tshisekedi to specify: « in other words, man will be at the center of all your actions in the different areas of life. I therefore count on each one of you so that at the end of my mandate, we can bring together the change I promised to the Congolese people during my electoral campaign.»
The Head of State intends to spare no effort to achieve this noble goal, by instilling in all institutions of the Republic Republican values that will be strictly observant.
« I promise you. Because, the antivaleurs which undermine our institutions constitute the first obstacle to any effort of development. I will fight, with the last energy, corruption, the embezzlement of public funds, tribalism, nepotism, bribery, clientelism, incivism and so on. Respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms will be assured», he insisted.
